if they're for photoshop you can still download them for gimp.
thats what I've done and it works jusr fine.

You can convert Photoshop brushes for use in GIMP fairly easily. Here's a tutorial on how - http://www.wikihow.com/Use-Photoshop-Patterns-in-Gimp

@brittlynn , Gimp 2 recognizes PS brushes, just put them in the gimp brushes set and restart gimp :D
